I've been running a Linux version sense 4.X, currently I have
an operational 6.0 version. I'm an old UNIX hack so much of process
is familiar. I will be watching / reading about your experiences
with interest.
Thus far I have experience in successfully installing and operating:
Linux,
Netscape 4.7 with Flash
SAMBA - for NT network conductivity, read file transfer!
Imagemagick - Graphics capture program
Star Office Suite
Wordperfect
Apache - Latest version
Configuring mail, graphics cards, and many, many, system tweaks.
If you run into a serious problem send me an e-mail.

I have a list of things to get working; Corel Linux is still not as "user friendly" as Windows 98 for the user. I have the following working:
Access modem and ISP
Access Internet with Netscape Navigator 4.7
Access Windows files with Samba
Access CD-ROM and floppy.
Install software from CD-ROM using sh command
Things to figure out yet include:
Access other computers on Windows network.
Print (I think the problem here is that the one printer connect to my Linux printer is USB, which Linux does not yet support?, while the other printers are on the network).
Access printers on network.

I have have been able to get the Epson printer to work, by connecting it to my computer with a prallel cable. The highest resolution, however, is just 360x360dpi.
Greg replies:
To access other computers on Windows network, use MS-UNIX conductivity tools for this - i.e. Linux station mounting NT file systems (browsing). Y
To access printers on network, use MS-UNIX services
